RAMP Gallery in collaboration with zine maker and artist Bryce Galloway are organising Hamilton Zinefest for 2014. Zines (an abbreviation of the word fanzines) are self-published magazines, often odd or specialist in nature, as their creator/s indulge all whims and passions in writing, drawing, collage or comics.

Bryce helped organise Wellington Zinefest through 2009 - 2011, has had his own zine published in book form and in 2012 took a selection of zines to Germany for the exhibition Zines Aus Neuseeland.

Planning for Hamilton’s first Zinefest began with Bryce’s visit to the Spark Festival in August and we are now following that up with a public talk and workshop on zines and zine making, October 15 – 16, all welcome.
