Ā muri atu / In the future

Emiko Sheehan / Jade Townsend

  • 26 Feb - 12 Mar, 2021

Ā muri atu - locates friendships between artists in the future of indigenous storytelling. For Māori time is non-linear meaning we are in a constant flow between the future, past and present. For this project, Emiko Sheehan (Ngāti-Maniapoto, Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Whaoa-Ngāti Tahu, Waikato), and Jade Townsend (Ngāti Kahungunu), bring together their unique artistic practices. This site-specific presentation will explore new ways of existing together through text, drawing and objects.
