Silver Tinted Pink

George Hajian

  • 24 Mar - 12 Apr, 2016

Born in Beirut, Lebanon to Armenian parents and living in New Zealand since 2001, George Hajian is a doctoral candidate at Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland.

George's research examines the male body and masculine representations in the post-internet era. Silver Tinted Pink extends those investigations, exploring performativity, social construction of masculinity and the ‘spornosexual’ male figure in an image-saturated culture.

Accompanied with writings by Robin Murphy and Owen Connors, piano rearrangement by Alex Taylor and a soundscape by Robert Carter.

Join us for the opening preview on Wed 23 March at 5pm.
