Anne Noble Artist Presentation
A presentation of work undertaken during a recent visit to Antarctica as 2001-2002 Antarctic Arts Fellow, considering the imagination and the depiction of Antarctica. "Noble's work explores a wide range of social, ethical and poetic issues from landscape to religion, from the personal to the political. Throughout, her art is characterised by its intense formal beauty, and its enrichment of documentary models of photography with symbolic and poetic qualities" (http://www.city-gallery.org.nz). Her most recent exhibition States Of Grace is currently showing at the Wellington City Gallery until 11 August.
