Director and Producer Briar Levit has amassed a collection of design production manuals from the 1960’s to the good old 80’s.
There is one problem, however: they talk about technologies way before the modern Mac we are used to these days. Before Apple came about it was the hands of workers, and various machines, that prepared paste-up boards of type and image before they were sent to print. This documentary explores graphic design production from 1950-1990 – from paste up to PDF.
