Since then she has been the Europe Correspondent for TV3 News over a period of five years, covering a wide range of world events from the Arab spring to the royal wedding.  

Melissa will give a behind-the-scenes account of some of the assignments she had in Europe and discuss the challenges she's found facing television news on her return to New Zealand as a weekend Newshub presenter.
