Neil Pardington Workshop

1:30–2:30pm Tuesday 9 August, 2016

Waikato Museum

This workshop with Neil Pardington and key staff at Waikato Museum is about enabling people to work in a museum situation and discussing ideas for approaching the material.

During the photography workshop the group will meet with a Waikato Museum curator to talk about copyright and cultural sensitivities of works in the collection, especially Māori.  Also a registrar will speak about working in collection areas and the handling (or non- handling) of collection items.

This will lead into a controlled shooting situation with approved material. This will follow in a couple of directions employing Neil’s own practice with the room views, such as his work in The Vault, and then the collection items as in The Vault and The Order of Things.
