Tēnā Koe: Drawings by Liam Te Nahu

5:30–7:00pm Wednesday 13 August, 2014

Calder and Lawson Gallery / University of Waikato

Tēnā Koe presents a selection of Liam Te Nahu’s meticulously executed ink drawings.

Liam Te Nahu’s work incorporates motifs from different cultures in partnership with his complex and highly detailed abstractions of Māori art-forms. Several works demonstrate an influence of Native American and Japanese cultures.

Liam’s work is also positively influenced by the art of John Bevan Ford and James Ormsby.

This exhibition runs from Thursday 14 August 2014 until 17 October 2014
