The National Contemporary Art Award
The National Contemporary Art Award can be described as brave, colourful and never shy, an award which takes on an exciting genre – contemporary art.
Now in its 15th year, the award exhibition presents 52 artworks entered by New Zealand artists from Northland to Dunedin and curated by judge, Simon Rees.
This award continues to make history with each year bringing a new perspective on that infinitely intriguing subject we call art. Each year we see new ideas, new themes and artworks which present each artist’s view of what should represent the best in contemporary art.
Exhibition 9 August to 9 November
