RampTalks with Rodrigo Hill

Rodrigo Hill

  • Wed 11 Jul, 12 - 1pm, 2018
  • Ramp Gallery

Join us in a conversation with PhD candidate and photographer Rodrigo Hill, in the next installment of our #RampTalks speaker series.

Rodrigo is currently completing his PhD and is showing an exhibition of his photographs in Ramp Gallery South of the Rising Sun, which is a creative component of that study.

Photographing the Te Awa River Ride - a shared pathway with a planned total length of 70km - that edges the banks of the Waikato River from Ngaruawahia to Cambridge, Rodrigo sees this as a multi-layered site and utilises the act of photographing as an means to 'placemaking'.

Join us to talk photography, large format cameras, experiences, creative researching and what 'place-making' is.  Rodrigo will also take us through his exhibition South of the Rising Sun that is showing in Ramp Gallery till 13 July.

Join Rodrigo Hill and Ramp Curator, Wendy Richdale, in Ramp Gallery on Wed 11 July from 12 - 1pm for a relaxed conversation - and feel free to bring your lunch!
