In and of the Earth | Book Launch

Book Launch celebration: September 4th · 5pm

Join us to celebrate artist Amanda Watson’s self-published and limited-edition artist book. The book traces Watson’s site-based painting practice, providing another way to share and interpret her paintings.

Amanda writes, This is a limited edition self-published artist book that traces my site-based painting practice, and I'm excited to be sharing this beautifully crafted book with you soon! Photographer Sam Hartnett has documented my work in Pukekura and the finished paintings in my studio, and Edward Hanfling has contextualised my practice with an essay. All these things along with some of my own reflections, and an introductory word from Zara Stanhope, will be in the book. I’m working with Alan Deare (Area Design) to put it all together right now. The book will be available for sale at the launch and after that at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery Shop, Poppies Hamilton, and Browsers Bookshop.
